Truant give pefect soundtrack to the limbo dance with help from Swedish tech head Hakan Lidbo and are Ben Ashdown and Jason Boardman.
Drawing upon charity shop sourced diverse musical influences such as Talking Heads, Pink floyd, acid house and disco, Jason and Ben started writing together in 1997.
Their shared desire to produce quality music created a strange chemical imbalance in their already lightly whipped minds.
The chap's proceeded to knit fragile strands of ideas together taking their first steps into the arena with the release of their debut vinyl 'Naked Ape EP on Repap Records. This single was well accepted and used as the opening track of the Big Chill's Enchanted Garden compilation.
This single is a full on drumfest and includes a belting remix by Sweden's Hakan Lidbo.
Big brother label of Repap, paperecordings took note and commissioned their debut album 'Neither Work Nor Leisure', which was released by the label in July 2001.
