Truant came from the broken beat, funk, disco and house world with much to prove. Jason had run disco nights for years and this showed in his production with Ben Ashdown. Never shy of the party!
This album milks the best out of urban music and turns out a real treat. Song of the City with Danielle Moore from Crazy Penis on vocals really stands out.
The perfcet summers evening soundtrack. Bliss out

Truant are a more laid back affair from Paper's usual releases....and no the worse for it.
I love the floating strings and atmospheres, plus the smoke induced haze of the biggest ska infused rhythms.
