PAPD23 Proviant Audio – Take Me Back To When I Wish I Was Born
1 Take Me Back (Proviant Audio’s Next Level Disco Mix)
2 Take Me Back (Brennan Green Mix)
3 Take Me Back (Atella’s Loveboat Mix)
4 All This Time (Daco Mix)
Take Me Back To When I Wish I Was Born is the 3rd single from album ‘Real Love Tastes Like this!’ by Proviant Audio AKA Mathias Stubø. When we asked him to re-edit the original he went away and did a whole new remix, exchanging the Latin vibes for more choppy disco elements.
Brooklyn based Brennan Green, who has previously released on DFA, Balihu and his own Chinatown imprint is up next with a stripped down, hypnotic Latin disco jam that sticks closely to the original.
Next up is the winner of the Paper remix competition winner from earlier this year, Atella. The fellow Norwegians deliver a remix which wonks out the original parts to create a 4/4 take that drops and filters for maximum floor action.
Finally, Paper stable member Daco is back with a cool mid tempo mix of All This Time reminiscent of early 80’s NY proto house releases. It is deep, soulful and oozing with quality, reframing the vocals from the energetic original in to a heavy vibing beauty.

DJ Alex From Tokyo – Take me back is a GREAT fun carnival party track! Brennan’s remix is a KILLER!! All This Time is a great boogie number.
Stuart Patterson – Sheeeet, you know how much I love Proviant Audio but these mixes are top floor. Can’t wait to play this space funk disco shit.
Jim Baron (Crazy P) – It’s Daco’s mix all the way. Quality.
Nutritious – WOW. Every mix here is pure bliss.

Here’s Crazy Penis’s new edit album bundled up in to 6 minutes of disco juicyness!
It’s pretty hard to take seriously a recording credited to Crazy Penis but, in fact, the group’s A Nice Hot Edit With … is seriously good. The band’s A Nice Hot Bath With … appeared in 1999, so it’s no great surprise to hear the 2010 re-work sound so deliciously old-school; in short, if you’re a fan of Yore’s deep, neo-classic sound and the idea of a vocal-less Chic likewise strikes your fancy, you’ll likely cotton to A Nice Hot Edit With just as much.
