The Paper Family has members worldwide, including two of our good friends, the Mexico City-based Picotropico and La Guardia de La Luz. Both have previously released brilliant tracks on Paper and had never met….until now! When their new demos landed, we played musical matchmaker and got them together to collaborate. The result was the Mexico 24 E.P. featuring original productions by Picotropico and La Guardia De la Luz, which were then remixed by the other for a cosmic trip into Mexican deep house. The results are as good as you would expect from two veterans of the house music scene. But we didn’t stop there. Wanting to share more about Mexico City, the fellas armed themselves with a Go-Pro. They spent a day filming, sampling the local cuisine, visiting record shops, talking all things music, their own individual inspirations and a whole lot more. So here it is, edited and arranged into a handy 5-minute mini-travel guide for your viewing pleasure. Grab a Taco, prepare yourself a Michelada, and let the chaps give you the grand tour.
